Be Gentle
A quiet daily kindness ritual

See it in action
Each screen paired with what it does. No filler gallery.
One small act of kindness a day. Tap it to read more, hold it when it's done.

Every day leaves a mark. Done days fill in, honest pauses stay as open circles, and ninety days split into three seasons: sprout, leaf, fruit.

At the end of each week, a short letter about what you did and what you noticed. Write back if you want; one line is enough.

Stop, notice something, keep it. The photo isn't the practice, the looking is.

How it's built
Be Gentle is private by design. No network calls, no analytics, no third-party SDKs in the app or the widget. Everything you write and every photo you keep stays on device.
The whole app is built around three gestures: swipe right to notice something, left to breathe, up to read your book. Witness mode runs its own camera pipeline through a Core Image filter chain rendered on Metal, so the preview already looks like the photo it'll keep.
On the last day, the book fills in one day at a time and is rendered page by page into a PDF with ImageRenderer, to keep or share. A widget shows your book on the Home Screen, and calm sounds are off by default.
